One boy saves another boy’s life and promptly forgets about it. 10+ years later, the first boy remembers and tells the second to quit crying over it.

People found out because if he kicks enemies/falls on enemies (or you if you invade) it deals fire damage. And he has it even in the Parish. It makes sense why he has it, since he is able to fight in the Centipede Demon battle without instantly dying. That’s really cool that people are able to figure out what rings various NCPs wear. I also know that Siegmeyer wears one of the Tearstone rings, since he gets the aura effect when on low health. I wonder what gear other NPCs have?
The strategy guide has a list of every NPC in the game and all of their gear! Surprisingly few have rings. If anybody is interested in a list, I can tap one up!
